The G80-09XX was produced by Cherry for the Commodore PC-10 8088-based PC compatibles. The product code is found only inside the case on the top left hand side of the PCB. This keyboard uses an inverted color scheme, the alpha keys are grey while the function keys are beige. The layout is somewhat unusual, there are two ESC keys and two PRT SCR keys. This keyboard "speaks" the PS/2 protocol.

Construction

The keycaps are thick double-shots with scooped 'F' and 'J' keys. The Enter key has a vertical stabilizer and does not bind when hitting it at the edge. The stabilizers are bolted onto the PCB. The Cherry MX Black switches are PCB mounted, the PCB sits at an angle in the case and is stabilized by plastic standoffs. The keycaps for the LED switches feature the Cherry-typical centered cutout at the front of the keycap for the LED. A five-pin DIN connector is used with a long spiral connector cable.
