Dauphin (Dauphin Technology, Inc.) was founded in 1988 by Alan Yong. The main product was their DTR (Desk-Top Replacement) pen-based PC. The main customer was the US government, specifically, the Defense Department. The DTR-1 and DTR-2 were manufactured using IBM underutilized factories. Dauphin continued to operate in the same industry field till mid-2006 when it acquired GeoVax company via the reverse merger deal and continued to operate under GeoVax name, a biotechnology company.
