FR Electronics was a UK-based electronics component manufacturer; they were a division of Flight Refuelling Limited.[1] Their product range included reed switches suitable for use in keyboards. The company is now known as FR Aviation Group Ltd, and comes under Cobham PLC.
In 1971, FR Electronics created the joint venture company Reed Relays and Electronics in India. RRE also manufactured the keyboard reed switches under alternative model numbers.
According to Companies House, they took their name in 1984. [2] However, RRE report being founded in 1971, more than ten years earlier. The parent company Flight Refuelling Ltd dates back a lot further, so FR Electronics could have been a trade name prior to becoming a separate entity.
