Forward Electronics (Chinese: 福華電子股份有限公司 – Fuhua Electronic Co. Ltd., IPA: /fǔ.xu̯ǎ/, foo-hwar) is a Taiwanese component manufacturer known within the keyboard community for manufacturing the Alps SKBL/SKBM series "simplified Alps" switches.
According to the Development Overview page on the Forward Electronics website, keyboard and keyswitch production began in October 1985, suggesting that Forward were producing Alps SKCL/SKCM series switches from early on.
