Hama AK 220 (also AK-220) is a low-cost multimedia keyboard from Hama.
Description
The German keyboard layout (depicted below) is fairly standard. Druck/S-Abf, Rollen ⇩ and Pause/Untbr (Print Screen, Scroll Lock and Pause/Break) are moved down into the navigation cluster to make room for three power keys—Wake Up, Sleep and Power—which are labelled in English instead of German. The UK layout is a mixture of Asian 101 and ISO, with 1-unit backspace, big-ass enter, and a 105th key next to left shift.[1]
Along the top are 13 small buttons, arranged inexplicably into three groups: six Internet buttons, a volume up button by itself, and then the remainder of the media buttons. The Internet and media button legends are somewhat confusing; from inspection of the manual (where they are illustrated with less-confusing symbols but still not in writing), the functions appear to be as follows:
- Go back (browser)
- Go forwards (browser)
- Display favourites (browser)
- Open home page (browser)
- Launch e-mail client
- Launch media player
- Volume up
- Volume down
- Mute
- Previous track
- Stop
- Play/pause
- Next track
The label on the example below is given as "XXX11288" while manuals cite "xx 011288". Models include 00011288, 44011288 and 73011288, and Hama seem to offer no explanation for the different model numbers.
The rubber domes are discrete. Most keys have colourless domes. Space has a green dome, and the domes for the media buttons are yellow.
The feet are plastic, without rubber pads, offering little grip on the table surface.
