  • Gh1391401 01:47, 22 July 2012 (CEST): IMO these are a little silly, should we reference wikipedia every time we want to make a page or add a comment to a page??
    • Use Alps, not ALPS
    • Use keycap, not key cap (same as wikipedia[4])
    • Use Space-cadet keyboard, not Space Cadet keyboard (same as wikipedia[5]).
No, but consistency is a good thing to have and helps the wiki look professional, otherwise people may end up top-posting in a wiki talk page... Besides, the reasoning behind Alps over ALPS is explained by the reference provided.

References before external links

Can we agree to have references immediately after the main content, and leave external links for the end? This would match Wikipedia as well and I think it is a good ideaTM.

No answers == agree :) --Tactica (talk) 18:26, 8 January 2018 (CET)

The choice of reference vs external link (at the bottom) vs inline hyperlink is a difficult one and a continual source of trouble in trying to choose; I'm not entirely opposed to inline links to other sites, so long as they're formatted in an accessible and presentable way (no "click here", for people who can't click or who need to understand the target of the link through audible means). That's not quite what I asked but I'm taking it as an implicit approval :) Thank you for the input, I'm guessing no one else will post an opinion anyway... --Tactica (talk) 12:34, 9 January 2018 (CET)
