Manufacturer Hosiden
Sense method Metal leaf
Keycap mount Alps mount

The Hosiden switch is presently the only known keyboard switch from Hosiden Corporation. It has characteristics that are a hybrid of Cherry MX and Mitsumi standard mechanical:

  • Alps-mount slider
  • Cherry MX–style shell with LED recess
  • Mitsumi-style contact module

Although it resembles an Alps clone, it is not compatible with Alps SKCL/SKCM switches. It does not appear to be Cherry-compatible either, although interestingly the term "HOSIDEN" appears on a Chicony KB-5161A mounting plate found in a KB-5181 keyboard with Cherry MX Blue switches.[1]

The base of the switch bears Hosiden's logo.

Keyboards

  • Panasonic AG-A850[2]
  • Royal Alpha 100 keyboard[3]
  • SNE GINGA-286L[4]
