ITT was founded in 1920 as International Telephone & Telegraph.
ITT acquired a number of other companies including German manufacturer Rudolf Schadow (to become ITT Schadow) and American manufacturer Datanetics (to become ITT Datanetics).
The switch division (including Schadow and French acquisition Jeanrenaud) has since been sold off to form C&K.[1] ITT Danatetics was not included as that appears to have been previously sold to TEC.
