Manufacturer IZOT
Switch type Linear
Sense method Reed
Switch mount PCB mount

IZOT reed refers to at least one type of PCB-mount reed keyboard switch.

Description

An angled keystem variant has been found bearing the IZOT logo (pulse wave partially enclosed in a circle). Virtually identical switches have also been used by IZOT, without any branding present; even if these were not made by IZOT, IZOT made use of them.

The shell is secured using a piece of copper-coloured wire driven through a narrow hole, preventing the switch from being opened. The IZOT-branded types encountered all lack this, and some of them simply fall apart as the shell is a loose fit. The switch contains an off-centre spring, and the reed capsule runs horizontally from corner to corner, beside which a magnet is lowered. The centre reed position limits the design to SPST.

Unlike their Cherry M8 and M9 clone switches, no identifying code is present on the reed switches.

Keyboards
