A wide variety of fonts have been used for keycap legends over time. Due to the nature of double-shot moulding, vintage keycaps used more rounded typefaces. Modern dye-sub and pad printing techniques allow for exquisite typography on keycaps. Some brands also prefer or have preferred the use of italics for keycaps, in particular Apple and Diatec.
