Mitsumi KKR Type is an unconfirmed progressive rate Mitsumi hybrid switch type; the tactile equivalent is Mitsumi KKQ Type. KKR Type also covers stock keyboards and full custom OEM products made with these switches.
Description
KKR Type is externally identical to the better-known Mitsumi KPR Type; where KPR type uses a single membrane sheet for the keyboard matrix, KKR type uses a PCB. No specifications for KKR Type have been recovered.
It appears that the primary advantage of KKR Type over KPR Type is that the use of a PCB permits diodes, for N-key rollover; this can be seen in the Toshiba J31TP002 numeric keypad.[1] However, as KKR-E99AC does not use diodes, this appears to be an optional feature.
