Description

The Mohawk Data Sciences key to tape machine was designed to eliminate the necessity of punch cards. The keyboard of earlier tape machines such as the MDS 1114, 1112, 6401, and others used a peg-shaped keycap similar to those found on teletypes of the era. The keyboard uses Micro Switch magnetic reed switches. All known examples of this keyboard lack a circuit board for the switches, instead opting for a hand-wired key matrix.
