The Northgate OmniKey/101P is a personal computer keyboard produced by Northgate Computer Systems. It is a variation on the earlier Northgate OmniKey/101. Several notable changes were made:

  • The 101P doesn't have the DIP switches present on the 101.
  • Interesting modified Focus layout with Windows keys added.
  • It has a non-removable cord with a 5 pin DIN connector, which is unusual among keyboards produced at the time. The PS/2 connector was much more commonly used.
  • It has simplified Alps SKBM White switches instead of the complicated Alps SKCM Blue or Alps SKCM White.
  • The up arrow has a single yellow switch, equipped with an LED. This likely has something to do with the programmable features of the board.
  • The plate that the switches are mounted to has quite a bit more flex in it due to how it is mounted in the case.
