Optimus Maximus is a keyboard where each and every keycap has underneath a fixed OLED display that can be user customized, thus enabling support for an unlimited number of languages and character sets. 1-unit keys are 20.2×20.2 mm (0.8×0.8 inches).
OLED displays have a 48×48 pixel resolution and support upto 65536 colours and a 160° viewing angle. Refresh rate is 10 FPS minimum.
Customizing software requires either Windows (XP or newer) or MacOS X (10.5.1—10.10.5). Keys are transparent and based on Cherry ML switches.[1] An slot on the back takes an SD card to enable saving and restoring different user layouts.
