VEB Kombinat Robotron was on its prime the largest electronics manufacturer in the former GDR (East Germany). Its products included personal computers, minicomputers, mainframes, microcomputers, television sets, radios and other appliances, besides computer peripherals and software.
In 1990 the company was liquidated and its divisions converted into corporations that later were either sold to companies like Siemens Nixdorf and IBM or liquidated.
