SMK Corporation is a global electronics manufacturer with its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. SMK was established as Ikeda Musen Denki Seisakujo in 1925 by Heishiro Ikeda, and renamed Showa Musen Kogyo Kabushiki Gaisha (SMK) in 1929.
In 1973 new subsidiaries in USA and Europe were established. In 1985 the company name changed to SMK Corporation. Between 1988 and 1994 new subsidiaries were established in Korea, Malaysia and China, then in 2015 SMK Corporation acquired MITEC.
