The Super key is a modifier key which originated on the Space-cadet keyboard for MIT Lisp machines. There is often one on the left and one on the right.
Nowadays, it is mostly used as an alternative name for the Windows, Command or Meta keys, using the same code. It is often used for sending commands to the X window manager on Unix and Linux systems.
Custom keycap sets often include keys with the label "Super". Similar to Windows' convention of having a logo on the Windows key, keycaps with symbols for other operating systems are sometimes also available: e.g. the Linux' penguin Tux.
