SwitchCaptain is an American retailer of mechanical keyboards and custom peripherals. The company is known for providing direct market place access to name brand switches. The company was started by keyboard enthusiasts who were frustrated by the poor logistics in the industry [1] , feuding companies [2], fly-by-night vendors, inconsistent customer experience, and miss-representing vendors [3]. The company deliberately does not offer group-buys, products are only sold if in stock. SwitchCaptains re-tests all switches in the US and packages them before being offered for sale.

Authentic Switches
SwitchCaptain is known to decline purchasing through resellers and other middle-persons. All items are purchased direct from the manufacturers.
