I see only the wire-jumper option on Cherry's site, and it's particularly useful for one-sided PCB routing. So, I am not sure if diode option was ever there for ML, and of course the diodes won't be zener.

I have one with a diode somewhere. I think in those industrial G84s with plate shielding, so the option should exist. Feel free to edit out the zener part though :D
Weird, I can't find anything on the 'net about ML with diode option. That'd be interesting. Good enough experiment is if a G84 has > 2KRO.
