I don't think the FCC IDs are very useful for determining different variants of these keyboards as they seem to be common between variants - probably as they have the same PCBs? I would suggest using the Dell part numbers (DP/N) instead, as these will change between different manufacturers. --Zilog jones (talk) 10:15, 21 May 2015 (CEST)

Dell S/Ns

Found some info about decoding Dell S/Ns:

These S/Ns were used from about '99 onwards. The example here uses the older numbering, and I believe the first two digits are the year, making this one from 1998. I'm not sure if the following characters follow the same format for month/day. --Zilog jones (talk) 00:16, 29 May 2015 (CEST)
