Wondering if I should insert Topre capacitive switch in at 1981 or 1983. 1981 is when the first prototype was created but they didn't start making keyboards for sale until 1983. Perhaps a blurb at the top when/if this is clarified so anyone wanting to add to it knows. Example: "Dates noted correspond to the availability of the switch to consumers" vs "Dates noted correspond to the first known physical example of the switch" --002 (talk) 04:47, 1 August 2013 (CEST)

You could simply write "Topre switch (prototype)" / "Topre switch (introduction)" and cover both :) I've been going with the date that products are available on the market as this information is far more widely available than when prototypes were created. Perhaps the page should report "Dates noted correspond to the availability of the switch to consumers, unless noted otherwise"? Daniel Beardsmore (talk) 11:52, 1 August 2013 (CEST)
Sounds good to me! --002 (talk) 13:38, 2 August 2013 (CEST)
