Topre short-throw keyboards are compact layout, low profile, short-throw (shortened travel) keyboards produced by Topre for the OEM market and adopted by various companies such as Mitsubishi and CTCSP. They use a smaller variant of the Topre capacitive switch. The known variants of this board have either PS/2 or SUN connectors.

PS/2 connector

HE0100

The HE0100 is one of the more readily available of the Topre short-throw keyboards. The HE0100 has a black case and white/grey keycaps. The dimensions of the HE0100 appear to be slightly different than other variants in that the front edge of the keyboard is straight, not curved. It interfaces via detachable PS/2 connector on the right side. It is 300 mm long and 170 mm wide. The HE0100 was also included with a Japanese IBM tablet, the 9103-A22[1].

HE0100

MD01B0

The MD01B0 is also relatively common like the HE0100 and appears on auction sites like Taobao and Yahoo Auctions Japan from time to time. The MD01B0 has a white case, with white/grey keycaps and the same 90-key Japanese layout as the the HE0100. It interfaces via detachable PS/2 connector on the left side. It is 300 mm long and 180 mm wide.

MD01B0

DG0300

Not much information is available for this keyboard, but it looks to be similar to the MD01B0 in both colour and dimensions. It also has the same 90-key Japanese layout. The dimensions, location of PS/2 connector and whether or not this keyboard has height-adjustable feet are unknown.

DG03B0

This board is also similar in appearance to the MD01B0. It interfaces via detachable PS/2 connector on the left side. It has height-adjustable feet and shares the same 320×180 mm dimensions.

DG03C0 / DG03C

Another variation of the DG0300. It interfaces via detachable PS/2 connector on the right side. It has height-adjustable feet and appears to have the same 320×180 mm dimensions as the DG03B0. Model names DG03C0 and DG03C[2] have been reported. It is unknown if there is any difference between the two.

M6905-4

The M6905-4 is cosmetically similar to the MD01B0, however it has been rebranded as Mitsubishi. It also does not have height-adjustable feet. Like the MD01B0, it interfaces via PS/2 connector on the left side. The M6905-4 is 300 mm long and 180 mm wide.

HT-3731-3S5

The HT-3731-3S5 is a HITACHI branded version that looks to be identical to the M6905-4. It does not have height-adjustable feet and also interfaces via PS/2 connector on the left side of the board. It is likely 300mm x 180mm but this is unconfirmed.

SUN connector

Topre SparcStation Compatible Keyboard

The Topre SparcStation Compatible Keyboard has an ASCII layout and is likely 320×180 mm. It does not have cursor keys. It interfaces using a SUN connector but it is unknown what side the connector resides on or if this keyboard has height-adjustable feet.

CTCSP CKR-MIN

Not much information exists for this keyboard. It interfaces using a SUN connector but it is unknown what side the connector resides on or if if this keyboard has height-adjustable feet. It was very likely the predecessor to the CKU-MIN and CKJ-MIN boards and did not have cursor keys or a Num Lock key.

CTCSP CKU-MIN & CTCSP CKUB-MIN

Both the CKU-MIN (white case, white keys) and CKUB-MIN (black case, white keys) are 320×180 mm and interface via SUN connector on the left or right side of the keyboard. They are compatible with SUN Type5/6 computers and have cursor keys and an ASCII layout. These keyboards have height-adjustable feet.

CKUB-MIN

CTCSP CKJ-MIN

The CKJ-MIN is 320×180 mm and interfaces via SUN connector on the left side of the keyboard. It is compatible with SUN Type5/6 computers and has cursor keys and a JIS layout. It is unknown if this keyboard has height-adjustable feet.
