Any info about this?

Datacomp. That model comes with Futaba clickies, maybe other switches too but none that I know of.

So i bought this keyboard and you were completely right Chyros. It is a Datacomp with plate mounted clicky Futabas. It was terribly dirty and is now being cleaned, still the switches are smooth as Futabas should be. Also, the caps are lovely low profile doubleshots and there's a lot of metal in there.

Pretty sure those are all domes, with a couple of the older ones being dome with slider. That one on the bottom with the missing F4 key should be a BTC dome with slider - pretty good as far as domes go from what I hear. They all look like they were pulled straight out of the landfill though...I wouldn't bother with any of em. LOL at the one with nailpolish for key legends.

Bottom/left looks like a Cherry G83-6000, winkeyless. Rubber dome. Keys are the same as for Cherry G80-series on the top but with different stem so NOT compatible. Get it only if you need a special key and can do a stem-transplant.
The BTC rubber dome is a BTC 5139 where the un-stabilised keys are compatible and in same as DCS profile. Stabilised keys are probably not though.

I only have this one picture of this old keyboard and I'm having a lot of difficulties identifying it. Can anyone help me figuring this mystery keyboard's identity and if it's worth buying?

Another update on the typewriter keyboards..

The seller mentioned that this particular board was pretty unique out of the ones he had because it was manufactured in Sweden. It was a toss-in because I didn't have correct change actually. I thought it was the side-angled cream alps of the SKCC series because of the shape, but look at the ALPS keyboard code

I think I also mentioned that these are quite clicky. They also feel much lighter than what I believe are vertical plate springs (which are in much worse condition) from one of the other typewriter keyboards.

Long story short, I think these could be "side-angled vertical plate spring" switches or less confusingly... SKFF side-angled cream. Any thoughts on this?

Hm, so there's no model label anywhere, just the PCB code?

What's curious is that the keycap only fits the ones with the bar mount, and that's unusual. Whatever keycaps went next to Q and A will need a different type of keycap with a normal SKFF mount.

Removed the other PCB that was obstructing but there was nothing underneath. Maybe the sticker could be on the side with the switches somewhere. I'll check the other side when I remove the switches... There are two pins on an orthogonal line, which jives with the fact that these don't feel like there is a double action mechanism (don't quote me on that for the ones that look like SKFF)

The BTC is woth saving. Pretty nice board. I actually really like it, and use it regularly. And my father also likes it, It actually has hungarian legends (he can't touch type, and can't use an ANSI keyboard with hungarian layout, the 102nd key, í and Í being Alt+J and Alt+I for capital) Build quality is a bit better than Cherry G80 levels, and the keycaps feel great. Tip: Lube the stabilizer bars to shut them up. They rattle as they had to...

Old Fujitsu — you can see the Fujitsu logo on the back. Probably Fujitsu leaf spring of some variant (maybe third generation from the cylindrical keycaps).

Also, i beleive it's from Canon HD-40 Navigator (486 attached to fax).

That has a Fujitsu label/part number - doubt it's the proto-topre type...probably just a Fujitsu rubber dome.

Well, how about that. I noticed the Fujitsu logo on the label, so I checked my unbranded FKB4700 and mine does also have the Fujitsu logo on the label.

I don't recall what 48nn means, or whether I ever knew. The N870/N87D codes aren't understood yet and they don't appear to be clearly separated by keyboard type.

That's a Facit typewriter keyboard; compare with the one HaaTa found.

The one on the left is curious in that the spaces between the keys are black instead of grey. That suggests that there is some sort of plate below the keys. Still a gamble though — if it is mechanical, it's most likely to be the cheap Alps clones (such as [wiki]alps.tw Type T5[/wiki]).

The plate is quite likely to be plastic by that age, which just doesn't sound the same — it's a gamble. You could always ask to see a photo of the switch to see if it's mechanical at all.

The BTC is another gamble, this time on the foam condition.

What's your generic tactile Alps-mount stuff?
