They look like wiki/Alps_dome_with_slider (Type 2). At risk of enforcing my personal opinions, I find these to be horrifyingly bad. They're just a squishier version of Cherry MY. Many examples I have seen have had decent Alps PBT keycaps though, which is sort of a redeeming feature.Pavle9300 wrote: 25 Jun 2021, 14:31 Hi all, I think this is some kind of integrated dome keyboard, but I am interested in what the experts here think. Thank you.
PS. Please ignore cherry mx black in one of the photos.

Yes they are hilariously bad, but I don't care as I don't intend to use it.
Honestly I just wanted to learn the model so I can see how can I disassemble it for cleaning.

Only the gods knoweth...
I am going to give mine a second chance as, aesthetically, it does remind me of a Z-150. I love giant spacebars too. Gonna give mine the full strip, clean and lube. Then Mitsumi Mod to see if it worthy of my desk. It will keep me busy until my actual Z-150 arrive at least!

Swapping out the external coil springs that provide the return force with Mitsumi bucking rubber sleeves, as demonstrated here. Mitsumi boards that contain those rubber sleeves are fairly common and ain't really worth anything past being a donor in my opinion. I'm not even sure it'll be worth my time to be honest, but as it stands, my BTC F&F feels god awful. I can't imagine it'd make it type any worse.

Interestingly I’ve got two Mitsumi KPQ keyboards - one original Mitsumi, and the other being the NeXT ADB. The difference between the Mitsumi and the NeXT is quite notable. I don’t know if the NeXT was better to begin with or if it’s because the NeXT was NIB. But only after testing the Mitsumi I could understand the low rating of Mitsumi KPQ switches.

I've got a Compaq 103 or something. Mine's not bad, it's just forgettable. Quiet and easy to type on, if that's what you're after. I've found my favourite dome with slider so far to be Focus D/S. Nice to use in terms of weighting and tactility, but certainly not quiet!ZeFritz wrote: 27 Jun 2021, 16:50 Interestingly I’ve got two Mitsumi KPQ keyboards - one original Mitsumi, and the other being the NeXT ADB. Update: Some quick googling shows that it's probably a Wang-branded Keytronic board:

Anyone know what this one is? The seller describes it as a clicky board, but it reminds me more of some f&f boards I've seen.

The keycap font looks Marquardt-esque. Compare with this. Wouldn't know what switch that could mean. There are several barely-documented Marquardt switches around the place.

That would, perhaps interestingly, make it a rubber dome board, but not a membrane board.

Hey all,
Stumbled across this picture on the CHERRY Instagram page and have been trying to work out what this is, but to no avail, Supposedly from the late seventies, but I've checked a couple of price lists from the time, and have had no luck.
Turning to the oracles here for some help, therefore!

Hi everyone, found this today while browsing ebay: looks like a standard cherry G80-3000, but is NCR branded, and the legends on the keycaps look like a dark-red tone more than black (bad photo? fading dyesubs?) If anyone has some info on the board, I would highly appreciate you sharing it. Thanks in advance, and have a great day everybody!

Perhaps it's my eyes or screen, but I see those letters as just black, not red at all. Probably just standard Cherry. Although maybe you've hit upon the next viral optical illusion after that blue-black/yellow-gold dress!

its a g83. Rubber dome. Big list of keyboards to identify
. Sadly, number 12 (appears to have Blue Alps) has already been sold. I am currently most interested in numbers 8 (could be SMK 2nd gen Cherry MX mount) and 15 (White Alps or clones?; seems to have legends above the keys similar to Ortek MCK-101).

Board 12 could be SMK 2nd gen Alps mount - quite hard to see with that photo resolution whether it's just a plain rectangular slider or an Alps slider. Board 8 could also be MX mount Futaba MA switches.
