Huuu, did you see that seebart? I was "working" all weekend with the seller to get international shipping quotesmhinsch wrote: Two weird terminal keyboards:

Yes Slom, both highly interesting BUT this part of my hobby is becoming too impractical and won't happen anymore in the future. Both these went for a good price though, I would have gotten the SYSTEM FOUR / VDU. Both these are something OldIsNew would go for but my guess he gets his awesome boards in the US.Slom wrote:Huuu, did you see that seebart? Whoever bought that cifer, I would appreciate pictures
Great finds mhinsch!
Thanks. I hope someone on here bought them (and shows us picks of the innards!).Slom wrote:Huuu, did you see that seebart? I was "working" all weekend with the seller to get international shipping quotesmhinsch wrote: Two weird terminal keyboards:

Some came with yellows, but most with greens, yeah. That particular one looks like it's in excellent condition btw =o .ramnes wrote: Zenith board that looks good starting at $1; those have greens Alps IIRC, right?

Is anyone here actually bidding on it? I was gonna try and make it my first alps board but it seems there are some other takers already on itramnes wrote: Zenith board that looks good starting at $1; those have greens Alps IIRC, right?

I wouldn’t hesitate to bid if you want it. These usually go for $80-$100 shipped in my experience (if they have known Green Alps), so the current price is still worth a bid IMHO. Have one already, so I will not be biddingGnohio wrote:Is anyone here actually bidding on it? This has to be a scam, right?
I think that is a little expensive honestlyarturor1990 wrote: What about an model m 122 for 36.99 with shipping to the US

Seems like this seller is participating in the Ebay Global Shipping Program. I don't know how this works but I have seen some amazingly low shipping costs from sellers participating in this program. A lot of the very cheap chinese stuff that you can get with free shipping is going through this global shipping program.Lustique wrote: Does anyone here know why shipping for this M 122 to Germany is only $14.56 this time? Are shipping prices for other keyboards that are sometimes more around $50–60 just so extremely inflated, or does this depend heavily on where in the US the seller is located? I, for example, tried to find out how much shipping a Pingmaster to Germany should actually cost via the UPS website yesterday, but either I'm a dumbass and can't use the website properly, or UPS really is disgustingly expensive.
I now only buy from sellers who are on the Global Shipping Program because of not only the lower price tag but also complete tracking from when it leaves Flebay's shipping warehouse to my address down under.
I don't think that's the only reason, though. I have seen auctions/offers for single pens from the US, that were supposed to use the Ebay Global Shipping Program, where shipping was more expensive than for this whole keyboard. And I'm not even talking about anything expensive where insurance could balloon the shipping cost like this.Wodan wrote: Seems like this seller is participating in the Ebay Global Shipping Program. It's clearly A LOT cheaper than any kind of individual shipping you can get - which is what we are seeing in most normal auctions.
Because of this, shipping to Canada from Europe is somewhat on par with the US. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy things from Europe.
