That is true...however that may just because its bright and attention grabbing. He mentioned two sets this coming week, and only said grey, grey and more grey.pasph wrote:It is the Cover Photo of his Facebook page...guilleguillaume wrote:Sherryton announcing what probably could be Dolch sets
We should reject Dolch and go directly with the safest choice:

Exactly it is the problem. Maybe it would help if I stopped posting the results of the IC voting?

Yes, and absolutely nothing useful came out of it.

How about adding beige/white modifiers to the "purple mod"-GB? As far as I can see there are only full sets offered sofar and people maybe still interested in just replacing their moogle-kits. At least i am.

No, but maybe I will run some classic patch kit right after while we keep working on what we are doing with full set situation. I don't want to have more than one at a time as I fear it will be too hard to meet each moq if there are choices.

I guess you would be able to get your desired set...dirge wrote:Yes but the volume of colours would make it expensive!
Also the yellow isn't quite the right shade, hang on I've got a pic to demonstrate.
How are we going to proceed with this situation?sherryton on GH wrote: What about the one dirge posted? I think it was a black on yellow colored set. It was just the F row though.
Every time we are looking to go trough a colour choice he is planning to make an order. What I think is that GMK just has a VIP slot production for Sherryton so everytime he needs something they put his order in first line of production.
If this is happening we would not be able to finish any Group Buy and we will be unable to reach any MOQ for any set.

Yes, just need more patience. In the mean time we can do patch kits for hard to find language and specialty keys and so on. I really don't think have to worry about those things being rushed out by any vendor so it should be safe for us to organize and complete with less problem.

For this reason, I'll announce one of the sets. The set is also known as Ski Data (I altered the colors slightly since the original orange was not available), but I imagine it more as the Geek Hack set. If you are using the default theme, then it looks exactly just like the GEEK HACK keys at the top. Theme can be found here, http://geekhack.org/index.php?action=theme;sa=pick
We have to hand organize these as well as all the other sets we had so far. I will not release them until they are 100% packaged since there is only a limited of these.
I made this order a long time ago, and I hope you guys understand that I did not copy anything. Expect them in a week.
Ski Data appeared in November when alles4pc! sold them in Ebay so this means he made the order in November- December.
Another set kicked out of the GB.

I think maybe we can just shift direction. I put in a quote request for EURO pack with all the unique keys from most of the major language layouts. I was thinking of just doing those and modifier patch kits and maybe a few special keys for fun. Maybe start off with the black/white or white/black since it is most common sets. For the rest of the keys people can just source more plentiful US or DE set and add the patch kit to get what they want.
What do you think?

Think its a good idea, but new is always nicer. Mixing with a second hand set may not match perfectly, yellowing etc.
Also if we're talking about getting the most out of older sets, get the bottom row sorted with some 1unit window and menu keys? Maybe in cherry red? Would look nice on black or white/beige. Also in the correct A! profile that bottom row needs some height!

I think a full base set with support for x amount of languages would be better. Then we could pair it with the modifier set that we are about to run a GB for. When I write base set I mean all the alpha keys and number row plus a spacebar.
The idea is that we will switch between modifier GB and base set GB. Avoiding making full sets yet still making them. only problem is it would require double the work, most Americans wouldn't be joining in on the base sets and you wouldn't necessarily be getting a matching set.
If we were to proceed with a full set GB, we should go with something not produced/seen before (from Cherry).
TA set would be preferable since there hasn't been a full set, isn't as hyped as Dolche, is much more subtle than DolchSKI and nobody has it, making it easier to reach MOQ.
Handarbeit is interesting, but tbh we can do better that that! it need some rework!

Modifiers buy will start very soon. We need an EU partner(s) quite badly.
EU partner will have big responsibility so do not volunteer if you won't have plenty of time. Responsibility will be to receive the entire shipment initially from GMK, remove keys, sort pack and mail all European orders, then forward the remaining keys in bulk to me in USA. Additionally, you may also be needed to receive total payments from order payment collection and forward the payment to GMK via bank transfer.
I would really like to get someone on this so all you EU guys can avoid the double shipping back from USA and re-import taxes. It will be a lot of work, so if at all possible maybe a few people that live close to each other could do it together.
If you are able and willing to help with this please get in touch with me.

The other thing, is I am surprised how many people are willing to pay the high prices. Our 32 key modifiers kit will be cheaper than the 6 key RGB. We could do full set with more comprehensive, more key sizes for additional physical layout more board compatibility, additional languages for the same price or less. But too many people are impatient and won't wait for the groupbuy so running the same things is not a good idea.
We need good support for this modifiers buy, so even if you are not incredibly wild for the colors I hope some will come out and buy sets anyway if it's in trouble to reach the moq. If this is not a success nothing further will be attempted by me.
