I still wait for a response to my order. Seems in Canada, they also celebrate Chinese New Year.

sorry, I lost the overview. Could I find these switchtype in the "The Mrinterface Switch Sample Bag"?
http://deskthority.net/marketplace-f11/ ... t3189.html

The sample bag contains the following Alps:

Tactile Black
Tactile Orange
Tactile White
Clicky White
Clicky Blue
Clicky Grey
Tactile Cream

Fit the Matias Alp switches to any of these switches?

*Update*

The Matias switches came in the later round 3 of the bag....

Thank you.

Very tempting GB here :o

How do the switches behave, compared to cherry mx?
Is there a graph of the actuation caracteristic?

These are the best switches ever!

You must order at least 120 of each to be prepared for any eventualities!
:evilgeek:

BTW:
ALPSMC | 1232| 0.20|EUR|Clicky (preorder 03/2013)
ALPSMT | 1155| 0.20|EUR|Tactile (preorder 03/2013)

The clicky is leading by less than a tenkeyless keyboard length!

I am going to put an order in, what is the difference between then? I assume tactile has a actuation point you can feel, therefore releasing before it bottoms out, then 'clicky' refers to a switch thatis linear therefore bottoming out and making a click when pressing?

Clicky switches are always tactile. At least I did never find a switch where you could not also feel something when it clicked.

Please order both to experience the difference.

I can only really afford one type. So a little clarification would be good.

If I don't know the difference I will likely just not order any :P

ALPSMC: Alps Matias Clicky - it makes a clicking noise and you feel some resistance when it clicks
ALPSMT: Alps Matias Tactile - it makes a no clicking noise and you feel some resistance when it doen't click.

I don't mean the resistance or noise when bottoming out.

No, you can also order just 1 of each. Shipping costs will be the same.

How likely would these fit my Apple Extended Keyboard II? It's got some dead keys I'd like to fix.

Of course, I've kindof put myself on 'buying things off the internet' probation after the money I dropped on those DSA retro keycaps...

They would fit but feel different. You would have to switch them all.

You might swap some from the function row down to the main keyboard and put the new ones up there.

However, I'd also recommend to swap them all. You can sell the old ones to lower your costs ...

I may do that... while I'm in there I should probably adapt it to USB properly, as I have zero computers that use ADB anymore. There's enough working switches on the keyboard that one could build a tenkeyless or something.

I just love that classic apple keyboard font.
