IvanIvanovich wrote:The other thing, is I am surprised how many people are willing to pay the high prices. Our 32 key modifiers kit will be cheaper than the 6 key RGB...
since there is little discussion about prices allowed on gh, people might think they are justified..and they are ready to buy
IvanIvanovich wrote: We could do full set with more comprehensive, more key sizes for additional physical layout more board compatibility, additional languages for the same price or less. But too many people are impatient and won't wait for the groupbuy so running the same things is not a good idea.
might be worth a try

Hey Ivan, don't forget to put the CMY set in the mods buy (see the GMK IC on GH guys). Here on DT it will be a winner with those 1.25 ISO shift you offered in the IC ;)

Not sure if it's futile, but I'd be willing to wait for a GB. Maybe do an IC to see if others would as well? Otherwise I'd definitely be in for modifier packs if you don't want to do the full base set as well.

The sample keys for white/purple and cmyk arrived. I will have the GB thread for those up later in the day.

Yeah, they remind me of the US Super Nintendo – though I always owned the PAL version, of course. Thus I'm waiting for the RGBY version! :D
I'm getting some Red Esc in the meantime. :)

Is the moq collective or does it have to be met for each pack?

IvanIvanovich

09 Mar 2013, 22:41

MOQ is for each, 300 for white/purple, 300 for cmyk, and 400 for esc keys.

What about shipping?
I don't want my keycaps to be sent from Germany to the US and then back to Germany.
Is there a proxy?

Partner based in Germany is on board and the order will be the first stop there from GMK, just working out the shipping policies and pricing 100% before getting all the details added to the thread.

I think the arrow keys are not included

No the arrow keys and blanks are only the sample GMK sent for color approval, they are not included.

Prices are including vat and excluding shipping?

Is there a date for the deadline yet?
Also ordered a set.

IvanIvanovich

Current posted price is for item only, no vat or shipping included. I need to get some clarification on the vat issue. VAT does not apply to US people, but since the delivery destination will be Germany I need to make sure that does not change things. No deadline is set yet, still need to clear a few details and I will get that posted too.

So no VAT for EU folks, this is a GREAT news!

IvanIvanovich

11 Mar 2013, 01:24

Well... it's a weird situation with that and I need to do some checking. Definitely don't want to have the delivery held due to some vat payment owed or something. Depending on the answer to that the price might need adjusting to include vat.

Unlike in the US and Canada, prices in Germany already include taxes. As you (or we) do not acquire those keycaps as a business (I assume), the 19% VAT is already baked into the price. Or should be.
Either way, we have to pay it.

Actually it's weird having no taxes in the displaying prices. I went with my family to Seattle and we went to a food court in some mall. I looked up the price for some meal, told my dad I need that amount of money, only to come back to find out I didn't have enough.
Stupid system, if you ask me...

To my knowledge you will have to pay VAT but you should be able the get the VAT back for the items that leave the EU.

I live next to Switzerland, a lot of them come here to shop because it's way cheaper for them, they have to pay VAT in the store but at the border they can fill out some customs form to get it back.

Here in Sweden business to business prices are quoted without VAT but VAT it's still payed by the company. All outgoing VAT is than subtracted from all incoming VAT and the rest goes to the state. There needs to be some special rule for exporting outside EU and I guess the company need prof that the goods have left EU to skip charging VAT. Any accountants on the board?
