Sorry for going off-topic, as-in this not being a keyboard.
But: I heard that 7bit collects old telephones, so I thought he would maybe find this interesting.

Yes, it's not a telephone. But it was used by the provider back in the day.
To me, it seems like 7bit is interested in every part of the chain.

Is this a phone thread? If so, I'd like to brag about my 1953 Western Electric 501 (500 with tube) that I got in "uber fine, never before used, all dates matching" condition a couple years ago:

Wow!

I've got some NIB telephones which are quite old, but not one from the 1950s.

I think the only reason it was unused was because it was wired with the tube for "party line", so it didn't work on regular lines. People probably thought it was defective. A simple rewire and it works fine. I've got 4 phones connected in my house and they're all made 1954 and earlier.

I have an oldie, we found at my church, in my garage. I'll nab a picture late. Its by no means NIB, actually quite the opposite, but it works. I think if I recall, its from the '30's. Will check later.

Your sentence is grammatically correct, no commas forgotten. But it does sound funny

Yo guys, i got some info on this telephone exchanger:
"Here's the answer I got from someone I asked:
THis is a swedish produced telephone exchanger. made by "det svenske telegrafverket", Most likely for the army, and most likely used in a bunker or by a canon.
Judging by the partsm it was made during 1940-1945.
The text which says Batt.1 and Batt.2 which most likely is canon batteries."

Pheow, good that I didn't trade it away for a single HE board anyways? :p
