Here is the keyboard I purchased off Ebay for $25, including shipping. I inadvertently found it when I was searching for "trackballs" and decided to place a bid immediately.

I kinda expected Dye-sub key-caps, but then it's even better :
ALPS-compatible Double-Shots, even the RGB's !!

Somehow, it almost seems like a Northgate-copy, doesn't it ?
(You need a DIN to PS/2 adaptor, the mouse is serial.
A German DT'er probably has the DIN-adaptor for a reasonable price ? )

Possibly an FK-9200 — that one has domes.

Useful photos. Confirmation that the yellow switches with LEDs do not bear any mould numbering. The keyboard is consistent with many other Focus boards in using white four-tab clones with S:#A## numbering, and yellow linear switches with LEDs. (Sadly, no latching action switches here to inspect.)

I presume that Print Screen and Pause are only double-shot, not triple-shot?

Some Focus FK-2001 boards have actual fake Alps switches; I've received a spec sheet from Hua-Jie indicating that they did recently make a similar switch (i.e. designed to outwardly resemble Alps including the diagonally angled plate grips) but the spec is for a linear switch with LED (part AK-LEN instead of the usual AK-LE).

Do you find these switches to be very stiff?

I just ordered a DIN to PS/2 adapter off Amazon, and then I'll plug that into in a PS/2 adapter. I got a Serial to USB adapter as well. We'll see how it works.

Yea they are only double-shot. The front letterings is just printed on there.

The switches are somewhat stiff, but not too bad. The bottom row seems to be stiffer than other rows, but that might be because I am using my pinky for most of those keys.

Very nice finding and at a good price, the caps are nice RGB DS thin wall, not bad. I used to have a Focus 2001.

Hello All. I am new here. I actually just registered to ask a question about this particular keyboard. My boss at work picked up an FK-7000P and connected it to his Windows XP computer at work. The LED's under the Caps, Scroll, and Number locks all light up but there is no functionality from the keyboard. The keyboard has a PS/2 adapter which is plugged into the PS/2 keyboard port on the desktop. After getting nowhere with that, I also plugged in the Serial connector to the Serial port. I pull up the device manager and it shows nothing. He is very eager to try this keyboard out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

The DIN is for the keyboard and the DB9 (serial port) is for the trackball. I think the connections you describe should work in Windows. It's not plug and play so you need to have everything connected at boot for Windows to recognised them. Is com ports and PS/2 enabled in bios? Is the A/X switch on the keyboard det to A (AT)?

maybe the ps2 on ur xp machine is a little touchy?
