After stealing the idea of someone at geekhack, I started to use my trackball with my feet (with my boots off of course). After you get used to it, it's great. But you'll need to turn the sensitivity right down. Got some strange looks while walking around the office in my socks.
Gave it up after getting a sit to stand workstation.
