So, this switch is a bit more interesting. Less confusing on which company originated the switch (ITW has the patent), but there are different switch designs utilizing the same patent (large crucifix, Univac type square mount, RAFI type square mount, Honeywell type square mount).

There are three sorts of switch designs (and the progression can sorta been seen), not including mount and force mechanisms.
So I'm going to propose a "Type" naming scheme as the designs are annoying to name.
ITW Magnetic Valve Type 1
HP 02645-60023 (Crucifix variant)

Univac Uniscope 100 (Univac variant)

ITW Magnetic Valve Type 2
Univac F3W9-00 (Univac variant, compatible with Honeywell Hall Effect)

The switch is clearly different in Type 2, and has the ferrite near the front of the switch, like the next type (unlike the center placement in the Type 1 switches).
ITW Magnetic Valve Type 3
Xerox 820-II

Low profile version of the Type 2. Very similar to the RAFI switches but uses a dome instead of a spring.
Thoughts? There are too many mounting variants, and naming each mount...that's even harder.

kk, I'll get around to that. Google has been douches of late, making it more difficult/annoying to get direct image links.webwit wrote:Post pics here and in the wiki, not at the NSA serving Doubleclick fascists.HaaTa wrote:Thoughts?
Been moving to Flickr, but if Deskthority had some sort of FTP for images...
Heh, $DATEOFDISCOVERY, I have at least one switch I discovered in early 2011 that I still don't have a name for...I'll have a post for that soon.
