[CANCELLED] EK Blank Keycaps for HHKB (White)

Hello.
Being in europe it is not that easy to get blank topre keycaps, to "cover" some foreign keys, and EK is not cheap, so: I'm proposing a group buy for blank hhkb keycaps, to share the costs by 2 people.

Current setup with keys to blank crossed with red:


Needs from a blank hhkb set marked in yellow:


The two extra 1x keys marked on the bottom row can be optional on my side.
Ordering from EK to me (Portugal) would be $134.56 + customs (could reach maybe $40).
Shipping inside europe will be around 5 EUR (~$7) in a small packet/padded envelope with tracking.
Cost estimate, worst case: (135+40+7)/2 = $91 (~67 EUR)
If you live in europe and your customs taxes are cheaper, you can order from EK and proxy to me, instead.

Not really a good deal
Keycaps $78 + shipping to Germany $50 + VAT (78+50) x0.19=24 would be ~$145.

This is not a good deal or reduction in price but just splitting of a ridiculously high price.
Maybe you should try to find someone else to order and proxy the stuff? Or set up a real group buy to get the shipping per person down?

The non marked keys in the image above are available, if you don't mind having the "F".
I guess one can scrap the homing bar from the key.
Would you be OK with the red dotted keys?

Hey there,

I'd gladly take all the darker keys that are left and a few 1x white ones too (anywhere from 5 to 10, depending on who else wants some).

So that would be :

1 esc
1 tab
1 control
1 left shift
1 key at the left of the spacebar (which one is it? [it's not alt on the hhkb without using the dip switch])
1 key at the right of the spacebar
1 right shift
1 'fn' key (the one at the right of right shift)
1 enter

and then anywhere from 5 to what's left of plain 1x white keys

Btw what kind of HHKB do you have? Mine is an HHKB Pro 2 (ANSI, not ISO) whit the layout looking exactly like the replacement layout picture (I think). Yours seem different, what are they exactly ?

Yup it's fine with me : I don't actually need all the white keys but I'll take them in case nobody wants them.

Btw are 1x keys from the first row compatible with the ones with the 2nd row etc. ?

Hi.
The keycap profiles afaik, are all different (maybe function row and number row are equal but I can't tell from my topre keyboards).
You want to rethink your options?
There is still a lot of time, EK changed the status to ETA November 2013, and hopefully they won't vanish before our order.

oh I see... I should have read the thread more carefully. So instead of 11x blank keys I'll just take one for each row. So that's four 1x key instead of 11...
