I wonder if we could use the legends from the Diatec Sphericals in our group guys. Those are kind of hot.

They're quite good on the alphas and the numpad, but those mods look a bit off. Look at the "a" in Kana. Seems a bit Comic Sans.

Centred legends are my favourite overall, but you're right that those left aligned SA's are still pretty sweet.

That ISO Enter they have… the profile looks pretty decent. Is ours as good a match for SA as that?

It is exactly that ISO Enter.

Hopefully they made sure that the legend can be in the center.

<Adds ISO Enter to his wish list.>

The legend is centred in a way: centred in the spot where the backslash would be on ANSI. I quite like the rows to stretch straight across the keyboard like that, instead of Return sitting in a half-row by itself.

Said the ANSI fan.

Working on my order... So looking forward to these!

On a standard TKL Filco, to have all three keycap colors and stay somehow true to Honeywell, I'd like to do something like this color-wise (picture from the interest check):
Image
Is there any chance for some kind of HONEY/CURSOR/BLACK set for that (preferably with arrow symbols)? :)

A minor thing that the whole process of setting up my order made me think about was: with all this great support for languages that is unparalleled in any other SP group buy and all these very special needs it is catering to, why is it that the whole set system is still so US-ANSI based? If I'm American or Asian and use US-ANSI, I just buy HONEY/STANDARD or HONEY/TKL and a space bar and I'm done. If I'm European and would like to buy an ISO set in any language, I still need to buy a full American ANSI set including return and left shift and alphas that I can't use, and only on top of that I can buy my language set plus ISO shift+return keys. I'm probably just missing something here, but wouldn't it be more economic to have US ANSI be just a language pack like all others are?

Actually, it's worse than that.

US-ANSI user: STANDARD or TKL kit & a space bar.
ISO user: STANDARD or TKL kit & language kit & ISO Enter & a space bar.

Well, so long as neither of them wants specific caps in red or black…

I'd be in favour of splitting off US ANSI as a language pack (even though it's the closest to what I use!) but this is 7bit's show for and every neuron I have working on it, he has like an entire processor core… just look at all those kits! I get chills every time.

I would appreciate this option as well. I'd buy a HONEY/CURSOR/BLACK and a HONEY/CURSOR/WHITE set.

HONEY/CURSOR/BLACK will be available in a few moments ...

Here is the current statistic:
9|US
6|EU,DE
5|EU,UK
3|AU
2|MY
2|EU,SE
2|CA
1|EU,FI
1|EU,NL
1|EU,BE
1|NO
1|SG
1|NZ
1|EU,RO
1|HK

Don't know what they use in Romania, but if it is some ISO layout, I count 17 various ISO against 20 US-ANSI people. This takes not into account that some of these live in the ISO world, but use ANSI.

Nevertheless, ALPHAINT is a start and maybe I will set up something like TKLINT etc.

I don't really want the pain of language specific kits, like SPH/STANDARD125FI or so. This was not pleasant.

I'm from Romania, but my keyboard (a QFR with ghetto greens) is ANSI all the way (with an extra euro symbol on the right of the 5 % key) :)

It's not yet possible to pay, right? The 'right' invoice will have included payment info, if i understood it well.

ok

just one more thing... could you declare the price really low so we don't have to pay BIG customs taxes?
in Brazil they like 70-80 %

I sell the key caps way overpriced, but on the custom's declaration form you will find the true value of the key caps.

Thanks! As Murium rightly said, I'm sure you have thought about the different possibilities much more than I have, especially set prices. I'm guessing it somehow has to to with pricing graduation issues that you abstracted away in the GB pricing.

Yes, definitely. I guess that must have been a pain in sorting.

I want to order the HONEY/TKL set but it doesn't include a grey \| key. Is there a cheap way for me to get a key like that?

User avatar

In fact it has something to do with my experience with sorting these. The more kits, the more time it takes to set these up.

This time, I want to modularize them as much as possible.

I've added the TKLISO/BASE kit:
Image

HONEY/TKL costs $79
HONEY/TKLISO/BASE costs $42
HONEY/ALPHAINT costs $29
HONEY/DE,DK,NO,SE cost $19
Total: $90, only $11 or ~8 EUR more than the US-ANSI TKL.
:-)

ps: black cursor kit comes tomorrow!
