So, what's the deal with PayPal? Is it no longer an option since the person originally in charge of it has quit, and if so what happens to the money I've already paid to that account?
My invoice still hasn't been updated. I ordered some stuff and paid it then ordered some more, but the initial payment still hasn't been registred. I'm not really sure how to proceed here; should I just do the math myself and transfer the reminder to the bank account given in the invoice, or should I transfer the total sum given in the invoice and try to cancel the partial PayPal payment somehow? I've got an invoice here from the 15th that says I should pay within seven days, but I still don't know what amount and to whom.

Most likely, megnin is not at home. I don't know how much is on his account, so it is better not to pay any more into his account until he updates and tells if everything is in order.

Would there be any possibility of VMS legends? In order of priority:
1. Help, Do, Find, Insert Here, Remove, Select, Prev, Next
2. PF1, PF2, PF3, PF4
3. Hold, Print Screen, Set-Up, Data/Talk, Break, Compose Character
... and then you're into a whole plethora of word processing (WPS-PLUS/ALLIN1) - we won't go there!

So, just to be clear: I'll just ignore the "pay within 7 days" thing in the invoice and wait then? Or should I do some MacGyver math and pay what I still owe via bank transfer?7bit wrote:Most likely, megnin is not at home. Might have been better (less expensive) if you paid in EUR from the beginning.
Megnin collected money for Round 4 for quite some time and nothing got lost, so I'm quite sure there will be a reason why he does not sends updates at the moment.

So I'm thinking of putting these caps on my BlackWidow Ultimate- who knows, it might make the board look good lol- and so I'm thinking of upgrading the TKL that I paid for to standard.
Can someone help me on the space bar length please? Here's how it is in reference to others:

I see HONEY/FUNCTION/R4 has a few question marks. Does this mean I can be one of those guys and request a tilde/backtick key be added?

This is what I would do. We will still be in the order period for at least two more weeks. There's plenty of time for paying when your first payment has been fully registered.caligo wrote:So, just to be clear: I'll just ignore the "pay within 7 days" thing in the invoice and wait then?

Those ? keys are placeholders for more keys to be added, but the tilde/backtick isn't really a function key.stoic-lemon wrote:I see HONEY/FUNCTION/R4 has a few question marks. Does this mean I can be one of those guys and request a tilde/backtick key be added?
There exists already a
HONEY/TILDEBPRIME/GREY
key.

I guess that's the reasonable thing to do. I just don't like having things unresolved like this.Halvar wrote:This is what I would do. We will still be in the order period for at least two more weeks. I did pay in euros via PayPal, the € amount given in the invoice, but I might have screwed up somehow and failed to set the bot to euros. Looking in my outbox now, the PAYEUR message I sent to the bot is nowhere to be seen so I guess it never got it. Will that be a problem, and if so how do I fix it? Could I just send a new PAYEUR message to the bot?7bit wrote:Might have been better (less expensive) if you paid in EUR from the beginning.

I guess, this is the most expensive way to pay in this group buy. We had this when we where collectiong membership fees for the DT club, when people paid EUR it a US-PayPal account.caligo wrote:I did pay in euros via PayPal, the € amount given in the invoice, but I might have screwed up somehow and failed to set the bot to euros. If it says you need to pay in USD, then you must pay in USD.
This is what you did:
Send EUR (via PayPal), your bank charges you exchange fees for SEK to EUR conversion and PayPal charges you (or megnin) again for EUR to USD conversion, plus the usual PayPal fees.
Better:
Send USD (via PayPal), your bank charges you exchange fees for SEK to USD conversion and PayPal charges you only for the payment itself, not for exchange fees.
Best:
Send EUR (via SEPA bank transfer), your bank charges you exchange fees for SEK to EUR conversion and then 7bit aplies the exchange rate of 1:1.35 without any further exchange fees.

I thought I'd mentioned it was the Marquardt military keyboard, but I see I only noted it was the Marquardt HEROS keyboard, which doesn't help much.
Now that the keyboard layout is clarified, can someone confirm the sets listed below will provide enough keycaps for the Marquardt military keyboard, plus the other two (Ducky DK9008G2 PRO (ANSI) and CM Storm Trigger/XT (ANSI))?
Now that the keyboard layout is clarified, can someone confirm the sets listed below will provide enough keycaps for the Marquardt military keyboard, plus the other two (Ducky DK9008G2 PRO (ANSI) and CM Storm Trigger/XT (ANSI))?
So if I want to get a total of three sets, two ANSI (one red/black) and one ISO, I think I need the following:
HONEY/STANDARD
HONEY/STANDARDISO/BASE
HONEY/ALPHA
HONEY/ALPHA/RED
HONEY/TKL/BLACK
HONEY/NUMPAD/RED
HONEY/NUMPAD/BLACK
Space bars - to cover most options:
HONEY/SPACE625
HONEY/SPACE625/GREY
HONEY/SPACE625/RED
HONEY/SPACE625/BLACK
HONEY/SPACE700
HONEY/SPACE700/GREY
HONEY/SPACE700/RED
HONEY/SPACE700/BLACK
The Marquardt military keyboard has all the cursor keys in a row next to the space bar, and since these seem to be Row3 in the layout description for this set, I think I need:
HONEY/CURSORS/BLACK
The Marquardt military keyboard also has a bottom row Enter key and NumLock key in the number pad, I figure I can use blanks for these:
BLANK/R3U100D/BLACK 3
BLANK/R3U100D/RED 3
BLANK/R3U100D/GREY 3
I also need a single 1.0 Row3 Alt key, and the only kit I see this in is the HONEY/MODIFIEREXTRA, which seems a bit much for a single key. Instead I'll go with either a blank, a geometric symbol, or use a Lotus key for Alt:
HONEY/MODSYM100
HONEY/LOTUS100/BLACK
HONEY/LOTUS100/RED
HONEY/LOTUS100

The connection must have timed out when I sent the PAYEUR message to the bot, my ISP has been somewhat unreliable as of late. There's a Swedish expression that roughly translates as "learning-money", i.e. money that you lose by doing something stupid that you've hopefully learned not do again. Seems like it kind of applies here.
Now that Megnin is back, I figure I'll get an invoice of whatever remains in USD and just pay it in USD? I'm fine with that.

Hey everyone. FYI, I'm not MIA. Just have been busy with work and such and haven't been online in a while.
Today I'm processing the payments I've received up to this morning. I should be posting them by the end of today. I'll post a status here.
Looking at the records I see a few payments that did not include the required info in the comment field, so your payment may be delayed or I may have to come here and ask who made it.
90% of them are perfect. The comment should be formatted like:
R5 0099 megnin
Please, no space before the "R5" and no text after your login name. I appreciate the "Thank you"s but thank me by keeping the data clean. It makes it easier to process if I don't have to edit individual payment records manually.
Just so you know, and I apologize for this, I have not been keeping up with the news on this group buy. I only popped back online to take order payments, so if I'm missing any information or if anyone needs to send me a message please PM me. I do check PMs but I have not been reading the forum thread.
Cheers,
David
! Oh, for anyone who did not participate in R4 last year... When I process the payments I have to mark them in PayPal as "Shipped" even though we know that nothing will ship until SP produces the caps and 7bit receives, sorts and then ships them to you. PayPal has been know to freeze PayPal accounts and all the funds therein for order that are not "shipped in a timely manner". These group buys do not work the way PayPal likes for things to work so the "beat" their system. I have to mark it as shipped right away. I just want to let you know that so there's no confusion when you get the email from Paypal saying you order has shipped.
!! Please pay in USD only.
