Basically, I just copied the rules that ascaii created last year.

Hi everyone! Time to get some holiday spirit going! I am running a secret santa for anyone interested.

How does it work?
You will send out one gift to a randomly chosen participant, another will send you a gift.

Here are the rules:

1. Post " Nickname(Country of residence) " in the Thread so I can copy paste it into the OP.
2. PM your address to tinnie with the following subject: "Secret Santa 2013"
DEADLINE to send me your address and sign up is 1 Dec.
3.Please mail your gift by the 7 Dec to make sure people receive their gifts before christmas.
All names will be thrown into a (literal) hat and randomly pulled to match everyone up. I will then send the address of the person you should send your gift to. Please scan or photograph the shipping receipt in case anything gets lost.
4.Once you receive your gift, please take a picture and post it in the following thread:
http://deskthority.net/photos-videos-f8 ... ml#p137301
Only members that joined Deskthority before 24.11.2013 are eligible to join
The size and value of the gift is open, but it MUST be mechanical keyboard related, and must be useful (no busted caps, domes, or other trash)
Shipping charges are on you. Remember, this is a worldwide event, you might end up shipping to Europe, America, Asia, or anywhere else.

Yes, but I mean I can remember all addresses if nobody has moved, so no reason people send you their address.

Personally I think it should be a secret envelope event. I.e. only gifts than can be shipped as a letter in a mailbox, like keycaps, springs and cables. This way more people would participate, because shipping stuff in boxes around the world is expensive, and you have to go to the post office which takes effort.

For me, the distance to the post office is ony like 10m more than to the mailbox.
The advatage to walk 10 more meters is that I don't have to lick the stamps myself.

Anyway I would have to go to post office to get stuff...

Still, limiting it to mail envelope might mean that not everyone thinks he is expected to send full keyboards, or that he will get one...

No Topre, HHKB lite or PC Jr keyboards then.

Yes, exactly these keyboards are good secret santa gifts.

Nah, currently womanless, but rich in the keyboard department. I was slightly shocked to find that I had more moving boxes filled with keyboards than I had for my other rooms combined. I am aiming to reduce my collection from the current 13 moving boxes to something a little more manageable.
