The
Honeywell these caps are modelled after is a butter smooth linear Hall effect keyboard. (Well, once I lube it sometime. I'm wary of messing it up.) If you want the closest MX taste of that, then blacks and reds are your choice.
These big SA caps give your fingers a lot of leverage on the switches, I find, and my heavy greens (stronger version of MX blue) fly quite nicely when I'm typing on Round 4 SPH (the earlier GB of this same cap profile). So I'd say blacks are probably the one I'd go for. But reds are just as smooth and it's really down to preference.
But clicky switches are so retro too! Just not so much for Honeywell / Micro Switch caps, which were almost always on linear keyboards.
