I'd like to bring back the idea of an optional Mac OSX kit with dedicated F-keys. I originally posted this idea on the Round 3 thread and some people seemed to like it. Otherwise I wouldn't mind to have some relegendables in the same color of the standard kit for the same purpose; I guess SP make relegendables, don't they?

Once the keys are shipped, we will see how close they are. I'm afraid, the only way to have them accurately done, is to create SVG files for each key (costly).xbb wrote:moogle kit! Is there any chance they can replicate cherry font?
This would be pretty much the Blue kit in reverse video.Highspeed Opi wrote:How the blue on white keys will look like?
In my opinion this "light blue?" on white would be nice.

Gray ... on Black ......... (??/NN) ........ (conventional text)
Full DE-Layout!
And maybe 1-2 US-Layouts.
This is a darker blue than in your picture. Maybe there will be add-ons to have the text on the modifiers and function keys etc. in a different color.
^^^ this spelling is hyper conservative!Haes wrote:...

I guess you mean things like volume buttons and such. Some of these symbols can be done as text, others require SVG files and cost more. If you are able to create SVGs just start to make the suymbols. Somwhere in the Wiki is an article about SVGs for SP key caps.

I see, well maybe if we make it just for the needed keys not a full set think will be costly anyway?7bit wrote:Once the key are shipped, we will see how close they are. Lets see how the current moogle kit font and profile blends with the cherry set.
If you have any spare I'd like to buy them

Ask ripster about wall-thickness.deFlash wrote:Hey,
very cool action here, great
questions about this Keycaps from this Order here:
have you got Pics from any Keycaps from this Company?
Wall thickness?
delivery time?
Ah wait, he had been banned by the wild duck because of his unscientific methods ...
Delivery time depends on how quick we get all together those options.
The last group buy started on December 15 2010 and will ship around June 15 2011 -- after 6 Months!
I will collect all options mentioned here and in the polls and set up a new poll, to see which color/text concepts will get support by enough people.deFlash wrote: i think my top is the RED CenterText, covered from Blackcaps.
can i have this in
1o5 ISO DE-LAyout
However, here are some pictures of what we got in the first round:

I did not ban ripster for unscientific methods. If he tells you that he is not telling the truth. Nor was he censored, all his posts are still here. Also his ban already expired.

- WASD and other keys of that kind will be available in different colors.deFlash wrote: DE Layout 105ISO was no Probs ok CHECK

- you can have as many space bars as you want!
there will be space bars available for different keyboards (but not the NoPoo or the Leopold) in different colors.
- blanks will be available as well
- I think we can also add a Diamond as replacement for the Windows logo keys.
- well, now comes the tricky part ... Everything has its price. I expect prices to be about the same as in the Round 3 group buy.
A standard kit with a few extras will be between $40 and $60, depending on how many sets will be produced.
Payment is in advance. I think this time, we will collect the money here in Europe via Bank transfer, because PayPal is too expensive.deFlash wrote: Which way was the payment´s, all in forward,

Signature plastics is .8mm. Filcos are .9mm.7bit wrote:deFlash wrote: Ask ripster about wall-thickness.
Filco.
Imperial micrometer. Deal with it.
Filcos are actually pretty average. Not sure how they developed a reputation of being thin. I think it was because old time Geekhackers never learned the importance of scientific measurements.

BTW: You might have easily measured the thickness as well with the help of coins ...
However, measuring actuation force scientifically, requires more advanced tools ...

I think space saver keyboards are more problematic.
Cherry G80-3000 (old and new versions)
Cherry G80-2550 and alike
Cherry G80-1800 and alike
Filco / Ducky and alike
NoPoo (except for the space bar)
and many others ...

Not possible. Signature Plastics, the manufacturer of the key caps, had not yet invented clear text double shots.mintberryminuscrunch wrote:what about clear on [color] there might be a lot of people that want to mod their kb to backlit (me not included)
The kits come in ISO and ANSI layout.rouston wrote:It's ANSI set if I well understood. Will there be, as proposed before, the possibility to include additional keys for French AZERTY?
French layout is already on my list, along with many other European layouts.

Since that is a contemporary demand, my guess is they won't invent it in the future as well.7bit wrote:Not possible. Signature Plastics, the manufacturer of the key caps, had not yet invented clear text double shots.
