- Legends? If yes: which ones?
- What colour? Seeing as we're considering a second schema again.
- And what size? Are they available >1.0 unit?

Indeed. Three things to think about with windowed keys:

My idea would be 3 dark gray + 3 light gray blank 1u windowed keys.
Legends? Probably: scroll lock, num lock, fn lock?

Windowed Capslock, too please!
How about two different ISO Enter versions, one with Text the other with Arrow on it?
To make it better matching with the Icon modifiers.

Sounds fine, I guess maybe one windowed caps lock key?matt3o wrote:My idea would be 3 dark gray + 3 light gray blank 1u windowed keys.

Any chance of a blue ISO Enter?

Legend on the red escape is a little lower and smaller than on the grey one?
You removed the solid coloring from the layer icon to make it fit the style of the other icons? I can understand that, seeing them together.
Blue enter is 2.25?

I am also missing an Empire key in the nerdom kit. If the rebels can have a key, the Empire should get one, too!

Windowed keys CANNOT be sublimated (PC melts at sublimation temperature).
So those could be only blank and --eventually-- pad printed if we really wanted.
Any key in any size can be windowed. So I'll have:
3x 1u dark gray blank
1x 1u light gray blank (just for the sake of it)
1x 1.75u blank
I'm not sure about lengends... are you okay with them being pad printed?
ISO Enter alone would be $6 at 50 pcs So I'm setting the MOQ at 50, you better buy a hell lot of them

No, we have to bring down the price of the ISO Enter, we can't split it into two colors.imbattable wrote:Any chance of a blue ISO Enter?

Please disregard legend size and positioning. The final layout will be designed while the GB will be actually running (and like I said many times, it will take quite some time).jdeblese wrote:Legend on the red escape is a little lower and smaller than on the grey one?

I don't think this would be possible at this time.Ichigo87 wrote:any quote from SP about making an ISO return DSA ?

And the Multimedia kit is missing brightness controls:
Actually, I'd be cool if you threw those and some Exposé keys (which appeared in earlier versions of this kit as I recall) right into the Pear kit. It's probably me and the other Mac guys who want either of them.

How do you want the windowed keys? All blanks?
For the ISO enter, maybe removing the legended one and having only blank may cut prices and increase moq ? IMHO this key is so specific that everyone knows what is its purpose, like the spacebar.
I'm in for a blank windowed set 3x1u darkgrey is good to me but yeah adding a lightgrey and a 1.75 should be useful for classic keyboards. I dislike the idea to mix pad printed with dye subbed and the legend to chose are problematical

I'd rather say remove the blank ISO enter - there are other blank sets, but not many ISO dyesub sets.

Copy cut and paste icons in svg, second try :

An undo icon would be pretty cool too :
https://www.iconfinder.com/icons/211838 ... n#size=128
And a save icon too :
https://www.iconfinder.com/icons/216154 ... n#size=128
(could not find a decent one with a floppy so I went for modernity)

Yes, pretty much any board will have a center stemmed Capslock.Laser wrote:Just asking - new keyboards (Ducky, CM Storm - at least) have center stems for caps lock, right?matt3o wrote:should be left stemmed. I will check.
But Cherry boards have Off-Centered switches for capslock (and many custom keyboards that are designed to use the original Cherry keycaps).

I have a recent Cherry board and another weird thing is the excentered switch mount for the spacebar :
center to center I measure 6.2 / 3.8 cm instead of 5/5 cm. The problem is known so I suppose molds are already set for both mounting sizes.

What appeals to me is the simplicity of the set so far, so I would say no.
If you want to do it, you should take a cold yellow I think, to match the color scheme.

last few points to discuss:
- enter in the numpad, is it okay to have it in just "icon" version?
- RGB icon kit?
- chevron control: I understand Muirium frustration, but I can't add 6 more keys to the pear kit in 1,1.25,1.5u (+6 icons for the function row), and nobody else complained about the hollow asterisk in the icon kit
- ISO Enter. Do we keep both or only one (blank or text)?

1.25 unit chevron Control would do for me. And in the Pear kit where only picky Mac purists like me would have to buy it! I think Exposé keys would also go in there just nicely, too, as it is already a costly kit with lower order numbers it might as well be a great one!
As for ISO Return: I'm biased towards symbolic legends of course. But blank is acceptable on that key.
