Hey, I'm up for that!
I assume the GH Mac users are Americans, and for some reason Apple uses wordy mods on its US layout, while over here its caps actually match what you see on the screen.

FINALLY! someone chimed in!Omikron wrote:Since I've just missed Round 5I wonder will this set make me happy?
Will there be cyrillic legends?
It was actually proposed and I'd love to add a Cyrillic legend, but I don't have experience in Cyrillic keyboards and I might end up doing stupid things. If you can help we maybe...

I see you're new here! Those will happen someday. And with a name like Omikron you might be interested in the Greek alphabet too. I sure am…
@Matteo
The pot handle almost looks like a duck. Potential for cuteness combo!

This is what ISO keyboard looks like with (Russian) Cyrillic legends

But Cyrillic users in post soviet countries are used to other layouts. ANSI and ISO are not very popular. But since it's hard to get mechanical keyboard with other layouts l think it will be best to stick with ISO.

LOL! they won't never let me...pasph wrote:Can you put this in the nerdom?
I did a quick search on google and there are quite some cyrillic layouts (ukranian, russian, iso, ansi...). Some are pretty different from the one you posted actually, but I guess I'll trust your judgement. Where are you from?Omikron wrote:This is what ISO keyboard looks like with Cyrillic legends

do you know of any russian rounded font (similar to gotham) we can use?Omikron wrote:You are right. There are a lot of Cyrillic layouts but I used Russian layout as an example since it is still most widely used.
I'm from USSR.

gotham rounded is the font we use for the latin characters. It's the font you see all around the Granite set. Basically I'd need a russian font that is a bit rounded (not edged like the one from the 3 red legends above)

I used first one for the last 20 years. It's the most recognizable and comfortable imho. Second one is good but both characters form 1 big symbol despite the fact that each character is made with different color.matt3o wrote:also would any of these legend position work?
which one would you prefer (the middle one would be the most compatible with the current layout)
The third is very VERY rare. I saw it maybe 2 times in military equipment and some of the early USSR's computing machines.

I'll go with the first one... even though the "USSR's computing machines" thing is temptingOmikron wrote:I used first one for the last 20 years. It's the most recognizable and comfortable imho.
