If i remember well, the true pay with paypal form was on the lower right of the payment options, i think the page went to display full options (pay with credit card etc.) and the paypal login-and-pay option was somehow not too visible. If memory serves.

When Alin started this GB we never ever hoped it will be such a success, we just wanted our Vim key caps and were ready to pay premium for our favorite editor
So we are really happy so many Vim fans are out there

I opted for 1u key because that's what SP had on file from mtl's previous group buy.
These days I mainly use Ergodox, but I could also use a "Caps Lock" Vim key (non-stepped ofc ). Maybe we can organize a GB for this... we have a few more ideas for "geeky keycaps"

There could be an entire vim-oriented keyset, starting from something like this:
and adapted to look good on actual keycaps:
- intuitive symbols (instead of cheatsheet descriptions)
- different keycap colors by role (operator, command, motion)
PLUS:
- localleader & globalleader keys available in every row profile

Me -> Melissa
One problem though :
"Does SP have the capabilities to add more than one legend
per key? (example picture attached)
If so, the following set would probably attract a lot of people :

Multiple colored text and font would have to be done by either sublimation or pad printing. This is possible and is done for a variety of other customers.
Thanks!"

cool - so it's possible we would need a good designer (like matt3o) with strong vim interest.
(some vim-heavy-used keys could also be front printed)
So mind reading ability is proportional to distance

Yeah. This kit needs a bit more planning than a single keycap gbLaser wrote:cool - so it's possible we would need a good designer (like matt3o) with strong vim interest.

To avoid future information disclosures I bought myself a tinfoil hat from ebay. Pics incoming

Is the DCS version pad printed? It looks super sharp, but layered on top of the rough plastic.
Or maybe your focus is a little off on the doubleshot! Those should be tack sharp, too.

Both are doubleshots from signature plastics.
The described effect might come from my script which I use to resize my pictures:
I added the unsharp parameter some time ago, because of a blogpost which showed how the resizing affected the sharpness of the pictures.
Here's the link (hooray for the FF history): https://even.li/imagemagick-sharp-web-s ... otographs/

Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash
mkdir /tmp/small
cd $1
for f in *.JPG
do convert $f -resize 800x -unsharp 2x0.5+0.7+0 -strip /tmp/small/$f
done
feh -F -Z /tmp/small/*

If you can wait just a little bit more on June 30th a new GB will be launched on PMK, including Vim keycap, this time in a new profile. We will create a dedicated thread with this, in fact update the IC thread

That's completely awesome. I'm in USA/Iowa. If that's too far, no worries =]
Also, are you the one that coordinates these? I'm one of the people involved with Neovim (which is why I want a Vim keycap so badly) and I think the community would absolutely love this for Neovim. Do you have any contact information on investigating this more?
Edit 2: Actually, I wouldn't mind creating a groupbuy, I just have no idea how any of it works. Any information/help would be great =]
Cheers!

I just wanted to let you know that I think Neovim is a fantastic effort and I'm very happy that it exists. So thank you!napalmbrain wrote: ↑<snip>

About the group buy: as far as I know, there's another one in the works along with a Debian swirl. I guess DanielT and alinh will know the most about that. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure you could re-run another Vim key GB with Signature Plastics.

Next week a GB will start on PMK and will contain 3 types of Vim key caps. The Vim caps will be child deals in the Debian GB.
AlinH is the "mastermind" and Vim guru. I'm the P.R dude and old school vi user.
