@jefferai, if you're still interested in buying custom plates:Laser wrote:jefferai wrote:Seems like a good option too, although searching around I couldn't find any open GBs for plates. Do you know how often they show up?Laser wrote:If you know how to solder, I suggest buying a CM Storm QuickFire Rapid, a compatible replacement controller from bpiphany ( http://deskthority.net/for-sale-f55/qfr ... t6193.html )and then keep an eye for people selling TKL metal plates with notches for easy top switch removal. Then you need to unsolder/resolder the switches only once, in order to replace the plate with the customized one, and you are all set.
You can get an aluminium plate right now from Techpriest@GH, or register for a later GB of steel ones (it may take a while though, as he wants to sell the aluminium ones first) :

(also of course check the first post in that same thread for info)
If you buy one, you will have to do some "clip filing" very similar with what WFD does in this clip:
... and it is also possible that you'll have to file/cut 1-2mm from the bottom of the plate to make it fit the QFR case, and to drill some other holes for LEDs etc.Spoiler:
Oh cool... thanks for the link!Laser wrote:

Well, for me at least, when I originally placed my order, I paid through Google Wallet. But I added a couple more things from the leftovers page a couple days ago, and the invoice that I got said I should pay through PayPal.
You can view the super high res, uncropped version here.
Yeah, I'm relieved it's still in stock. HONEY/VERTBSL/R4 is in stock too, it wasn't when I ordered so that's nice.
Classic rookie mistake.
