IBM M-122 bolt-mod and Soarer's Converter! Only $150.

Not often that you see a bolt-modded M-122 complete with Soarer's Converter installed! Is the seller a fellow Deskthorian by any chance?

A 122 key Model F would be worth it for the price. But the 122 key Ms are lacklustre, I can say from my own experience. The rollover is horrendous, and trips me up all too often when I use mine. I haven't wasted a Teensy on it!

I haven't yet given any serious attention to an M-122, although I have a few that I got in a batch buy with a view toward using them for keycaps and other parts. I had seen some posts, however, saying that when bolt-modded, the M-122 was a rather decent board. Nevertheless, in my own bit of fiddling with them, I found them to be much less satisfying than regular M-101s or SSKs; in comparison, the M-122s felt cheaply made.Muirium wrote: ↑A 122 key Model F would be worth it for the price. Thus far, in my experience with IBMs, the XT is the one to beat.

I really misjudged this one. I thought I would get it for $ 47 or so for sure. 500 !!! For this insane amount of money you can get a real nice keyboard or two.mr_a500 wrote: ↑I know this isn't quite keyboard related.... but if you ever wanted a reel to reel tape of Leonard Nimoy singing, you won't want to miss this:

I think the pink is pretty nice, actually! Not quite my style, but I can appreciate it. The colours go well!

Holy shit. Somebody really wants to hear Spock sing. I thought it'd go for $30. I'm sure there's probably another 30,000 unsold copies in a warehouse somewhere.HAL wrote: ↑I really misjudged this one. I thought I would get it for $ 47 or so for sure. 500 !!! I must say that pink keyboards are an abomination that must be wiped off the face of the Earth.

It's the Leeku 3000 PCB. It's quite expensive since it's a very small run ($80 per PCB).bazh wrote: ↑some kind of custom pcb for G80-30xx?

Yeah, it's quite expensive. It is a tiny run though, so it's perfectly justified.bazh wrote: ↑wow, dat price :'(

We planed to bid on this with three nice people from DT, although these boards might be heavily corroded again like the last ones from this seller...

More than three of us around here want these, evidently!
Precedence to those who haven't already got a beam spring. (Well, if we can put together a bid and don't get hammered…)

I don't blame you, seebart, just cussing to myself...
Ok, I'm stepping back, I'm not in that dire need any more ... I hope you find a solution and it goes to some people here.
