That is interesting, it has MX compatible keycaps and Cherry M8 switches. The other keyboards are nice, too!

The black (keycap) vintage T ALPS version of that is the best one. I'd love to find one NOS.

The hall effect from 1972 is much more interesting, especially for people in europe where they are more rare.
Image

here's the descripotion in German:
Uralte Tastatur von 1972, wurde ehemals von einem Funkamateur für einen Baudot-Geber umgebaut.
Nur noch Tastetenmechanik

Keycaps make is similar to that telex hall effect KB communistwitchdoctor found. Likely gold pins on a ceramic IC in there.

also check this hand-wired TI99/4A

This one has futaba linears.

The real prize, IMO are those 2 huge siemens keyboards. note 4 pins / switch likely either reeds or halls.

Whoever gets this please take a ton of pictures and post them so I can live vicariously through them.

The Commodore board is interesting. Although the description mentions the 64, I believe it's actually from the 16/116/whatever they called it in Europe, the unsuccessful incompatible replacement for the VIC-20.

Psion MC400

I just got one of these, genuine Cherry DS with clear switches. The keyboard is on a seperate PCB, connected to the main board with a ribbon cable so I guess could be broken out into a stand alone board (if you can live with the nuts layout :D). Looks like a couple of vintage PDA nuts got in early so it might be quite expensive, I paid just over £30 for mine.

The prices are ridiculous. Maybe it's someone sorting out Cindy's warehouse deals? (username austin...)

Ah, it's a GH user:

Code: Select all

I'm selling all of my boards as I've a got unique opportunity lined up. Additionally I no longer have the space to display these and won't be able to for the next few years. Rather than have them sit in storage I'm selling them off to people who might appreciate them more.

Most of my price's are pretty fair. The Kishsaver is priced at a premium because:

1: I don't really want to sell it that badly.
2: I think it's worth that. Explanation:
    - I sold my M15 for $600 and this is rarer and more desired than an M15

I don't wish to cause any strife or drama and I'm not, generally profiting from any of this. Just getting back what I initially paid. The kishsaver is the only one on which I'll probably profit.

I am going to continue to use ebay for all of the sales because I enjoy the sense of security that is provided to both seller and buyer.

Sorry to get you all so worked up :P

Even if the kishy were NIB unused, 1200 would be somewhat steep. We have all seen those industrial ssk's for a grand. I wonder if they ever sell? But there are always people with cash to spend who do not care. Trying is no crime. If that's what he paid, he paid too much![emoji12]

He says as well that he really doesn't want to sell it. But he is willing to sell it at the right price. And he believe that the right price is quite high. If someone wants to buy it at that price it's up to them.
