10 bids on the beam spring right now, € 86, six days to go! We could guess what the price in the end will be

Damn you, Bitsquid, I was watching that Beamspring (at least I believe it's one). Now It's going to be really expensive. I've seen e***r on a few other auctions I was bidding on, I believe he is also a community member.
The legends are really weird, it's a mix of French, German and British layouts.

The assessment "probably never used, the cable wasn't even built in" in the description is such a bad joke. Also, I have never seen corrosion like that on the bottom plate, even from our "seller of rust". Could the key caps be frankensteined? I don't think that layout ever existed.

It looks like one, same style keycaps and housing. And even if it isn't a beam spring it is an interesting keyboard.

Hmm... But can't see contamination shield between caps.

Here is a similar one that is definitely a beam spring: http://deskthority.net/workshop-f7/beam ... ml#p118074
The missing contamination shield is indeed a bit strange, but maybe IBM didn't put it in every single variant. The GRDSTG and DAT FREIG keycaps seem to be higher as usual, too, and the keycaps seem to be not profiled but instead uniform profile like DSA.
Here is one, too, from this thread.

That's what I would do, maybe Mu should open an extra thread for that. Like last time with the Nixdorf PCBs everyone should state their max bid for one via PM and the sum of that is the max bid for all of them.

Aye, another for the list!
@HzFaq: Sounds reasonable. I'll write up a thread for it when I'm back home. I'm aiming low for these, myself. And I hope our bid is the only one.
The main costs for all of us will be outbound shipping instead. I'll investigate that as well.

I think it's rubber dome. If if was mechanical, you should see either a PCB or a metal plate between the keys, but it looks like plastic the same color as the case. Nice dolchy color though.

I think thats just a “stem extension“ to make the caps work on a rubberdome, no clue what the proper term would be tho.

Yeah, my guess is it's still simply a "slider". But the switch is rubber dome over membrane, instead of a discrete mechanical.
Still, Alps mount caps are better than most rubber dome sad stories.
