If you are willing to sell the board with the Mitsumi miniature switches, I'd buy it, but I don't know what it's worth. 30€ maybe?

Heh, thats what I was thinking too! (As I have dibs on one quite like it from Cindy.) Looks in good shape. How do the switches feel?

I think €50 for the Cherry FR set, upto €15 on the Thai set. No clue on the Mitsumi. Around €30 for the M8 board.

How much should I ask for a top condition almost not used alpha grip?

How much is Siemens branded Cherry G80-1129HBD/02 worth with German ISO keycaps? How much is a German + Russian ISO keycap set worth from the same board?

It came with 2 keycap sets. German which is in good condition with minimal shine and no yellowing, and German + Russian which has some shine and yellowing.

Pics here: http://imgur.com/a/z2BDq

Thanks

Considering the last set of DE+RU keys went for 110 EUR and they looked like crap, I'd say yours are worth at least 120-150EUR. The regular doubleshots anywhere between 15 and 50 looking at the latest HAD ebay auctions.

The normal German keycaps without the russian legends seem to have much darker Modifiers than usual, is that just the lighting? Could you take a photo of both sets together for comparison?

Those DE/RU keys were dyesubbed. These are doubleshot and infilled. Dyesubs are sought after [especially in the East, where people will pay more for anything Cherry!] so it's not a good idea to value these based off that SAR set that sold.

I can't value it though, because that's the first set I've seen like that. I'll offer you 25EUR for it!

25 Nov 2014, 19:34

I think 75EUR would be fair for that DE/RU set... it's in good condition but the RU legends look like 3rd party. 15-30EUR for the plain DE set or upto 50EUR for the whole G80-1129HBD. That board caps does have a colder colorway than usual, and has grey not beige modifiers.

I don't know how much it is worth, probably much, but I know who wants one: http://deskthority.net/want-to-buy-f56/ ... t7170.html
I love that keyboard, but I don't think I can afford one right now, especially not NIB.

Here is the comparison

They are indeed a different color scheme then the Russian ones. And all the caps are double shot and infilled as Photekq said. Does the color of the German set alter the value or rarity somehow?

How can you tell its 3rd party, just out of interest?

The Russian is engraved and infilled, and the legends aren't the usual ones. Cherry would have used pad printing and their standard typeface.
The different key colors on the Nixdorf could make it more valuable to some buyers, and much less so to others since it would be impossible to colormatch with other similar sets... it all depends on the intentions they have for things or if they are simply collectors.

NIB G80-2000 - I expect you should be able to get a minimum of 300EUR out of that one.

Not very much Alien. It's a terminal model M, so it requires conversion to work with modern PCs, unlike regular ones. Maybe 20-30EUR?

I didn't know that IBM made keyboards in Netherlands. Doesn't it worth a few more bucks because of that?

Hi All,

I've recently acquired a set of mechanical keyboards; bought it because it contained 3 Model Ms. The rest is completely uninteresting to me, but since some of you might think differently, here they are (state as shown):

Wyse
Wyse.jpg
Wyse.jpg (230.01 KiB) Viewed 5288 times
Backside doesn't give much information except serial number and "Part No: 900242-45". RJ-11 connector.
No key caps, unfortunately. Maybe the switches are interesting to someone?

Cherry MY 7000
Cherry.jpg
Cherry.jpg (234.55 KiB) Viewed 5288 times
Seems to have a magnetic card reader and a chip reader on board. Some key caps missing.
Backside says "Article No: G81-7908LBADE /03".
Maybe interesting for spare parts?

Acer 6312
Acer.jpg
Acer.jpg (218 KiB) Viewed 5288 times
PS/2 connector. Not sure whether it's working correctly - produced spooky results with a cheap PS/2-to-USB-adapter.

Ortek MCK-101 SX
Ortek.jpg
Ortek.jpg (202.46 KiB) Viewed 5288 times
AT connector. Untested.

Is there anything in the above that might be of interest to somebody, or should I simply take them to the next dump?

Thank you,

Hermann

Somebody might like the switches, or maybe the innards for their own Wyse. Sixty recently sold a bunch of similar boards complete with caps for 10-20 euro, some of which were UK layout. I'd say probably 5-10 euro for this.

Cherry MY switches - nobody really likes these, unfortunately. The keycaps are lasered (and incomplete!), too, so they're not worth much either. Somebody might want the case, but it's pretty yellowed too. Maybe 5 euro?

This one looks pretty promising. It should have ALPS-mount PBT dyesub caps. The caps are probably worth 20 euro or more, but I'm not too sure. The keyboard itself is probably not worth anything if it's giving weird output. Most people dislike Acer switches anyway.

This one looks nice. You should pop off a cap and show us the underside of it, as well as the switch itself. Not sure about the price off-hand without.

The Wiki says that it should be one of these: http://deskthority.net/wiki/Alps.tw_Type_T5 - clicky and grey.

Those look like genuine white Alps switches - I can't tell from the picture, but it looks like it says "ALPS" on it. The keycaps are doubleshot too. Might be worth something to a German ALPS enthusiast but I'm not sure how much. I'll wait for someone else to give a definite answer.
