Third time today I bump into space invaders. Been wanting one for a while, this is clearly a sign. Can anyone proxy one for me (no paypal, no international shipping) ?

Is there a space invader model with ISO/ANSI layout and windows keys (no big-ass-enter) ?

There is a thread over on GH about this already but I don't see it posted here.

http://www.directron.com/kb6600bu.html

Solidtek KB-6600 Full Size w/ALPS $4.99 + Shipping

It uses genuine simplifed ALPS branded key switches which are virtually identical to the Fukkas

Hopefully this helps someone. Shipping for two boards was the same as one, so I convinced a work associate to buy them with his paypal and I gave him cash :D. Will be his first mech. Gotta bring more people into the light.

I've seen those two space invader boards before. I could proxy for you gogusrl. I might want one for myself if they stay cheap.

I´m breaking my new year resolution already!

Give them a shot. My NMB is one of my faves:

The caps are excellent. Not all space invader boards are as lucky. But well worth exploring.

For sure. Those boards are rock solid. I got super lucky and got two of those for free. One of the first switches I tried. One is in my. Rotation of keyboards at work.

Woha! That's a cheap SSK! Wonder what it's going to end up at though...

It has some interesting custom legends on a couple of keys, wonder what it was made to do?

Yeah it's rare to see a SSK in a real auction. I bet it will go well over 200.
Good find.

oh it's my PC 5. Nuum owns this too but this one is slighty overpriced in my opinion. Nice find.

I'd be impressed if it's $55 worth of switch. The one to watch out for is the Alps ultra-low profile, as it's adorably strange. I could have snagged one (they're found in old Nan Tan portables, which is what this was) but I didn't fancy more junk getting in the way :(

So—you just type on the membrane directly? Sounds about as fun as typing on a ZX81 or a microwave oven.

The BBC B and Master don't have a 25-pin D-sub connector either :) (Most connectors take ribbon plugs; the only D-sub connector is the analogue port.)

I remember the Concept Keyboard — some websites appear to treat "concept keyboard" as a genericised trademark, while Wikipedia refers to it as an overlay keyboard. An overlay keyboard won't of course work well with full-travel switches! It's not something that you'd type on.

This is a weird one. Not sure how rare this is, but I haven't seen one before: an aluminium chassis for Realforce TKLs, from Korea.

Digilog's cases are pretty! They also have an advantage over the standard Realforce case in that they have a detachable USB cable, and a USB hub iirc. Not sure what the attraction is in the USB hub, I most certainly have never used the one on my HHKB.

A bit on the expensive side though. Otoh, you get a Korean custom RF ;)

I've seen these on the market. I've been tempted, but I am reluctant to spend as much on a case as I did for the keyboard. In any event, the RF is solidly built and the stock case is handsome enough.

I've never used the USB hub on my HHKB, either. I suppose if I had one on a larger keyboard, I might get a USB-powered LED light to provide a little task light for the keyboard.

Easy to solve! Get a 10th Anniversary! Then you're only spending half as much on the case
