I'm not sure, shipping a switch board with different Alps might be seen as some sort of terrorism. Psychological warfare and such. Just look what happened to ripster.

All in a day's work.

In general it would be cool to randomly acquire Alps boards from the markets, arbitrarily swap the sliders around, and put them back on the markets. Then wait.

Some people say this already happened.

Thank you for the switches provided CeeSA, this has been a great help. Keep the sinklists going! I will put the PCB's in the mail tomorrow to continue their journey.
Here is my list from best to worst, I did the list only based on feel. No reading up on numbers just plain simple what feels best is best:

Browns
This was my favorite switch since I really like the tactile bump that it provides and how it almost feels linear when pressed quickly. A bit heavier though than the reds but I feel the tactility makes up for it.

Reds
I also liked the reds and will probably get a red keyboard as a second keyboard. I really liked the lightness of the switch and I think that it might be a question of getting used to the linear switch to start appreciate them.

Ghetto reds
Felt less light than the reds and that's my reason to place them behind.

Blues
Love the sound but they are too loud. I would have to have a deaf girlfriend to use these. Also I prefer a less apparent tactile bump for gaming. If I ever work as a professional writer/coder I would get these.

Clears with brown spring
A bit like the blues but not as noisy. Would be a second choice to blues if I would only write and not game. Also wouldn't require a deaf girlfriend.

Clears
Felt heavier than those with brown springs. That's why I placed them behind.

Blacks
Blargh...way too heavy, felt like Soviet Russia. In Soviet Russia button presses you.

Greens
Nightmare switch...felt like blacks and sounded like blues. Nothing to consider for me.

i`m wondering why everything lasts so long... i really can`t await to test the switches

i think the same thing! Some members have not the same time feeling than others.
but we have here international shipping, don't forget.

the group can exert pressure on the members itself.
it's not my part to ask every receiver/sender about status and everything else.

the upturn appears to have been lost here clearly.

I must say that it worked much better with the first round.
maybe it was because of the faster shipping...

perhaps we need more status reports for every step, so everyone could track the progress.
but it's all about the participants.

but in the situation right now we cant change anything.

it would also be good if the participants would be sorted by their country. it would decrease the total-traveling-time enormously but the other side of this maybe the "directly next ones" would be disappointed because they already waited so long and then they have to wait even longer.

I sent it as a maxi-letter and it should take 8-10 days for it to arrive. I printed out exactly what I got as name and adress and put my own name and adress as sender.

Here is the review I promised:

Cherry MX blue:
The switech feel very nice. On the one hand it is easy to press them down on the other hand you won't accidently press them. The force you need to activate is just right. It is easy to feel every keystroke.
The bad thing is this switches sound like a typewriter. You don't know how a typewriter sounds? Every keystroke sounds like a loud mouse click. Beeing that noisy I don't like the MX blue switches in a quiet environment /at home.

Cherry MX brown:
It is easy to press the cherry MX brown down. I guess that's the reason people like cherry MX red switches.
The fact that you need little force to activate the keys makes them feel very comfortable. Recognizing a keystroke is more difficult compared to clicky MX blue switches. But the registration of a keystroke is notable.
In addition cherry MX brown switches arn't noisy.

Cherry MX clear:
The cherry MX clear need much force to press them down compared to MX brown switches. Otherwise they behave like MX brown switches. Typing more than ten minutes will make your fingers tire out.

Cherry MX black:
The cherry MX black switches need lots of force. They are linear. I don't know if linear switches can be an advantage because you get no feedback when the keystroke is registered. I think feedback is a important feature.
Furthermore ....
these switches will make your fingers fall off! Only the incredible Hulk can type more the ten minutes without tire out! Just try to hold down a key a few minutes and you see what I mean.

Cherry MX Green:
They are similar to MX blue switches with one difference. You need more force to press keys down. I think this switches aren't that interesting because there is no keyboard with MX green switches. I think the MX green switches are clicky MX clear switches.

Cherry MX red and Ghetto red:
Cherry MX Red and Ghetto Red feel very similar. They both feel nice because the activation is very easy. But I think accidently pressing a key is very likely. And again: I don't think a linear switch is better than a tactile switch. It is a matter of taste. And keep one thing in mind: For any keyboard with Cherry MX red switches you have to spend a small fortune.

Clear switches with brown springs:
The clear switches with borwn spings feel just like Cherry MX brown switches. I can't feel any difference.

Conclusion:
Cherry MX brown is my vavorite cherry switch.

the switches just arrived. I drove home to fetch the switches and now im im back on work and now everybody is cracy for testing and wants to test...
I`ll test at home this evening...
What i can say already now: U`ll need some hours to figure out what u like most...

ah... because i thought the package is from icecream because thoveli wrote that he used a maxi-letter (and i thught its DIN C4).

all switches seem to be clicky when u press them fast to the ground (but my logitech g15 is even louder ) - last days i have read that there are "soft landing pads" and self-made landing pads (rubber rings).
- let the landing-pads avoid the "click" of the cap hiting the ground?
- an do the landing-pads decreas the stitch traveling-way from 4mm to e.g. 3.5mm ?

Maybe i`ll drive to Kaufland and buy some "Einmachringe" to test it
