Video editing overlay. Avid's still around, messing up keyboards today:

I had my eye on an AEK II with a set of those caps once. But I don't think they came in PBT…

Ha, funny you should post that. I actually need some keycaps off of it as they should be futaba inverse mx compatible.

This one went really damn cheap. Regretting not picking it up.

Edit: Few more appearing now from the same seller. Looks like some data entry outfit has probably packed up shop.
28 now if my eyes don't deceive! Is Yahoo Auctions like eBay: starting price or higher? Or like a real auction, where the price can go down? Seems like a weak position the seller has, shifting so many at once…

5160 is the model number for the IBM PC XT, not for the Enhanced Keyboard.

Call that an XT?

Image

That's an XT!

The keyboard in the auction is definitely a Model M. I don't know much about the IBM PC XT, but I guess an AT protocol Model M keyboard is compatible with it.

I think vsev was referring to the auction which does include an IBM 5160 PC with that 1386303/1386304 Model M. I usually just copy and paste those auction descriptions.

I understood you quite clearly, someone else apparently not! :evilgeek: It´s a nice Model M, but it did not come with that Personal Computer originally.

Meta misunderstanding!

I don't think anyone didn't understand. We were all simply eager to make clarifications, as though someone else didn't!

Did anyone say beam spring?

I got one from this dude some weeks ago. But this one looks like he cleaned the shit out of it himself. Hence the missing label on top.

There's no room for pickiness when you're searching for a beam spring! That's how I ended up with a QWERTZ beast.

They just don't have that beamspring look :?

Pretty much. If they were the only beamspring, then sure I'd go for one. But the others look so much nicer! The great white has an unappealing bulge to it, and the wall of white caps only makes it seem larger. They're not objectively bad keyboards of course, but they are in direct comparison to their 3276 etc. brothers.

Anyone here get the DAS2? I had a cheeky snipe on it but it ended up going quite a bit higher than I thought it would.
