NOW LIVE! SEE http://deskthority.net/group-buys-f50/p ... ml#p231766

Hello!

Image

Post in here with what material and layout you want.

Let's discuss:
- Material: Stainless steel vs. aluminium.
- Layouts (though I assume we can get several done on the same sheet of metal so this is inconsequential)
- Manufacturers

Once we garner some interest, we'll try to contact a few places and get some quotes.

Layouts:
- ISO125
- ISO150
- ANSI125
- ANSI150
- 7BIT
More info: http://deskthority.net/wiki/Phantom

I'd be also interested in an ISO150 plate, my Phantom PCB has been lying around for ages. I'd prefer an Aluminium plate.

I'd be interestted in an ANSI150 plate in aluminium.

For the record, I would prefer aluminium also. I'm hoping that the general consensus is that most people want one material and that the other people don't mind compromising on that part.

I'll add you both to the list, thanks guys.

ANSI150. Nuff' said :D
But while I'm here, can one of you inform me what makes Phantom so desirable anyway?

In for a ISO150, and I don't care about the material nor the manufacturer; I just want the cheapest possible.

I don't think anyone will care about the manufacturer, I just want suggestions!

As for the PCB, you can buy it from mechanicalkeyboards.com. I can't help with that part, unfortunately.

For me, I want a plate-mounted ISO winkeyless board and it seems like the easiest option! Plus, I'll probably be modding switches and it's a lot less hassle than buying a board and desoldering the stock switches.

In for one ANSI125 for sure and one ANSI150 depending on cost.
Would prefer stainless, but alu is OK too.
I am a bit worried about shipping alu plates, they are too vulnerable.

Yeah, seen that just after submitting my message, hence the edit. ;)

Edit: Ergh, there is no LED support on Phantom PCB...

I'll make sure that they're all very well-wrapped prior to shipping!

I'm thinking of the recent FaceU replica GB where some alu plates were badly damaged in shipping. Those were mostly sent in bubble wrap bags, so once these are wrapped carefully I don't think it should be a problem.

Scott are you going to do the EU part of the shipping?
While I was not affected (just a slight twist), that GB is what made me worry! And TKL plates are even longer!

I'm not sure about specifics yet, it would really depend on where it ships from originally! I think we'll probably end up going with a European manufacturer unless it's prohibitively expensive. I imagine that I'd just get everything shipped to me, then forward them from here.

Edit: Unless of course we have someone living in a country with cheaper shipping rates that would be willing to help out, in which case I'd be happy to talk about it!

At least I will get the first Hyper plates from them.

I've already got a Phantom PCB and a plate. What I need is a case! :)

You could always, er, buy a second plate and just screw it to the bottom of your keyboard?!

I'm interested in a ANSI125 plate. The material doesn't matter for me.

I'm interested in ANSI125 with a full numpad on the right. Not sure what this layout is called. Material doesn't matter.

I can only get the layouts from the attachment in the linked wiki page done, sorry. If you design it yourself, I can try to get it included but I can't promise anything.

If it's included, then sure, not a problem.

Okay. Put me down for an ANSI125 then.

No one for 7bit ? I'm in for one od these.
Depending on the price add me for ISO.

I just had my eyes checked and the optician said they were fine, apparently all lies.
